The Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia onSeptember 11 held a grand ceremony to celebrate Vietnam's 75th National Day (September 2).

🅰 At the event, Vietnamese Ambassador Le Quy Quynh highlighted Vietnam’ssocio-economic achievements and increasing prestige in the international arenawhen the country plays the role as the ASEAN Chair in 2020 and anon-permanent member of the United Nation Security Council.

He emphasised the country’s efforts to carry outthe dual tasks of COVID-19 prevention and socio-economic development, sayingthey help the country successfully fight against the outbreak and become one ofthe few countries with positive economic growth.

The Party and State also pay due attention to the Vietnamese community inforeign countries, as they have asked relevant agencies to organise many flights to bring home Vietnamese expatriates who were stranded by the COVID-19 outbreak, includingthose in Malaysia.

𒐪 As many Vietnamese have faced difficulties since Malaysia applied lockdownmeasures on March 18, Quynh called Vietnamese nationals to promote solidarityand support each other to overcome challenges./.
