💙 – The Vietnamese Embassy in Argentina on September 5 organiseda ceremony in Buenos Aires to mark the 74th National Day (September 2, 1945 -2019).

The ceremony drewGustavo Zlauvinen, Deputy Foreign Minister of Argentina, and 200 guestsincluding local officials and representatives of diplomatic corps as well asinternational friends and Vietnamese people in Argentina.

Addressing the event,Ambassador Dang Xuan Dung affirmed that Vietnam and Argentina have made greatprogress in many fields. In particular, the State-level visit to Vietnam byPresident Mauricio Macri in February is considered as the most importanthighlight.

The Ambassador saidthat two-way trade between the two countries doubled from 1.4 billion USD in2013 to nearly 3 billion USD in 2018, maintaining Argentina’s position asVietnam's second largest trading partner in Latin America. At the same time,Vietnam is Argentina's second most important market in Asia and the fifth inArgentina's global export markets.

The diplomat expressedhis wish that in the coming time, the two sides will continue to maintain thedelegation exchange at the governmental, ministerial, sectoral, local andbusiness levels to concretise the comprehensive partnership between the twocountries.

For his part,Argentinian Deputy Foreign Minister Gustavo Zlauvinen congratulated Vietnamon the occasion of the 74th National Day, and expressed his admiration forsocio-economic achievements that Vietnam has achieved in the current periodof national construction and economic development.

♍ He said thatArgentina was one of the first countries in Latin America to establishdiplomatic relations with Vietnam and, over the past four decades, therelationship has been increasingly strengthened and developed, helping thetwo countries become important partners of each otherin the current period.-VNA
