Vinh Long (VNA) – A meeting of Vinh Long province’s steering committee for the elimination of substandard housing was held on February 24 to review progress and address challenges to the implementation.

Efforts to eliminate temporary and dilapidated housing in the province are being accelerated, with the goal of completing the initiative by April 30, 2025.

The provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee has been assigned to conduct a comprehensive review of housing needs among eligible residents and to coordinate efforts to compile a unified dataset for effective implementation.

Localities have been urged to diversify resource mobilisation, combining state funding with contributions from social organisations and the broader political system to support local residents.
