- Party General Secretary To Lam met with voters in Hanoi’s Ba Dinh, Hai Ba Trung and Dong Da districts on December 3, briefing them on the outcomes of the 15th National Assembly’s eighth session.

The local voters lauded the success of the session, saying the NA deputies delved into and decided on many critical matters that lay an important political foundation for the operation of the Government as well as the activities of ministries and localities. Read full story

- State President Luong Cuong, head of the Central Steering Committee for Judicial Reform, had a working session with representatives of the Supreme People's Procuracy in Hanoi on December 3, during which he urged the sector to further enhance the quality of the enforcement of the right to prosecution and supervision of judicial activities.

The State leader commended the procuracy sector for its accomplishments in recent times, saying that those have greatly contributed to maintaining political stability, ensuring social order, safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the State, organisations and citizens; effectively supporting socio-economic development tasks; and firmly safeguarding the socialist state. - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on December 3 stressed that individuals and organisations that have caused obstructions or delays to the Long Thanh International Airport project in the southern province of Dong Nai must be strictly handled in accordance with legal regulations.

After visiting the construction site on the day, the PM had a working session with representatives of ministries, agencies, the project management board, consultants, localities, and other stakeholders, during which he noted that the project, the largest of its kind in Vietnam so far, holds significant importance to the socio-economic development of the Southeast region and the entire country. - National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man on December 3 received leaders of several major Singaporean corporations, as part of his official visit to the country.

During his meeting with Kevin Chng, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Keppel – a global asset manager and operator, the Vietnamese top legislator praised the group’s effective cooperation in Vietnam, particularly in infrastructure, real estate, and renewable energy, as well as its significant contributions to the country’s urban development and its role in enhancing economic and investment relations between the two nations. During his three-day trip to Singapore, the top Vietnamese legislator had meetings with Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, and held talks with Speaker of the Singaporean Parliament Seah Kian Peng. Read full story
