Phnom Penh (VNA) – Cambodia andBangladesh agreed to enhance ties in multiple areas during the ongoing visit ofBangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to Cambodia.

Hasina is on an official visit to Cambodiafrom December 3-5 at the invitation of her Cambodian counterpart Samdech HunSen.

The two PMs met on December 4, followed by ajoint press conference where they announced the Joint Communiqué on the Outcomeof the Official Visit of PM Sheikh Hasina to Cambodia.

The leaders also witnessed the signing of 11documents, including a memorandum of understanding on cooperation inimplementing the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and others on ties inlabour and vocational training, tourism, institutional cooperation under theJoint Trade Council, institutional cooperation on promotion of investment,information and communication technology, aquaculture, and more.

Hasina is scheduled to pay a courtesy visitto King of Cambodia Norodom Sihamoni and meet with President of the Senate ofCambodia Samdech Say Chhum, President of the Cambodian National AssemblySamdech Heng Samrin and enterprises from both countries.-VNA
