PhnomPenh (VNA) - TheFootball Federation of Cambodia (FFC) said it has been preparing to host the 2023Southeast Asian Games (SEAGames 32) for more than 10 years, with the goal of winning medals atthe biennial multi-sports event.
Addressingthe 17th FFC general assembly in Phnom Penh on March 11, FFC presidentSao Sokha said the federation has since 2010 built and developed human resourcesand infrastructure, as well as organised international competitions under theslogan “All for Cambodia”.
He urgedthe Cambodian football team to train hard and constantly strive to be able tocompete with those from other regional countries.
Everyone is very committed to achieving thegoals of the upcoming SEA Games, he said, noting that coaches and players are allfocused on getting through to the semi-finals.
Beforethe 32nd SEA Games in May, Cambodia plans to organise two events – theInternational Bokator Referee Training Course from March 24 to 28 and CambodiaKun Bokator National Championship which runs from March 29 to April 3.
The 32nd SEA Games will take place from May 5 to 17, 2023 and the 12th ASEAN Para Games from June 3 to 9, 2023.
Both games are combined and called “Cambodia 2023” to reflect unity, diversity,and equality. The slogan of Cambodia 2023 is “Sport: Live in Peace”./.
