Hanoi (VNA)♔ – Cambodia exported 268,190 tonnes of rice in the first half of 2016, down 5.8 percent from the same period last year.

According to a report released by the Secretariat of One Window Service for Rice Export on July 7, the country’s rice has reached 57 countries and territories around the world. The report showed that China was the largest importer of Cambodian rice with 47,024 tonnes, followed by France and Poland, with 37,463 tonnes and 36,164 tonnes, respectively. Cambodia produces over 9 million tonnes of paddy rice a year. With this amount, it has over 3 million tonnes of milled rice left over for annual export.-VNA
