Hanoi (VNA) - DefenceMinister, Gen. Ngo Xuan Lich has praised Cambodian outgoing Ambassador toVietnam Prak Nguon Hong for his contributions to the promotion of theVietnam-Cambodia relations.
In his meeting with the Cambodian diplomat in Hanoi on August 26, theVietnamese minister highlighted the fruitful development of the political ties andcooperation in trade, education, culture, defence and security between the twocountries over the last three years, stressing the ambassador greatlycontributed to these.
Minister Lich said he believes that the diplomat will continue to makeevery effort to promote the traditional friendship and comprehensivecooperation between the two nations.
According to Ambassador Prak Nguon Hong, the twosides organized successfully the Vietnam-Cambodia, Cambodia – Vietnamfriendship year in 2017 and various events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic ties.
These show that the bilateral relation has been increasingly expanded, especiallyin defence and security, he said.
The diplomat pledged that he will do his best to further strengthen thesolidarity, friendship and cooperation in all fields between Vietnam andCambodia.-VNA
