Speaking at the event, PM Phuc said ASEAN has become acommunity with increasingly closer connectivity, and the WEF’s choosing ASEANfor a forum has proved the bloc’s role and stature.
He expressed his wish that leaders, businesspeople andinternational visitors will travel to Vietnam many times to gain an insightinto the country, its people, culture and tourist attractions.
The PM and participants toasted for a world of peace,stability and development and an ASEAN community of solidarity, unity andprosperity.
Guests were treated to UNESCO-recognised music performancessuch as Hue royal court music, Bac Ninh love duets, choi singing, as well aschamber and jazz music performances by Vietnamese artists well-known worldwide.
Music and dance performances by artists from the ASEANCommunity were also staged.
They also had a chance to enjoy traditional Vietnamesecuisine.-VNA
The 8th Vietnamese culture festival (Vietfest Seoul 2018) was held at Gwanghwamun Square in downtown Seoul, the Republic of Korea (RoK), on September 2 to celebrate the 73rd National Day of Vietnam.
