Vietnam, US seek ways to enhance defence cooperation

Hanoi (VNA) – Deputy Minister of National DefenceSen. Lieut. Gen. Nguyen Chi Vinh and US Ambassador to Vietnam Ted Osius discussedmeasures to further promote defence cooperation between the two countriesduring their meeting in Hanoi on March 17.
Both officials expressed their delight at thefruitful defence cooperation between Vietnam and the US over the past years.
They agreed that the two nations should fostercollaboration in various fields, including searching of missing-in-actionsoldiers, returning of remembrances, Agent Orange/dioxin detoxification, andbomb and mine clearance.-VNA
