
San Salvador (VNA) –Vietnamhas consistently hoped to enhance the fruitful traditional relations with the Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front (FMLN) party, aswell as the State and people of El Salvador, said a Vietnamese Party official.
Phan DinhTrac, Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee andhead of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs, made theremarks during his working visit to El Salvador from July 3-6.
During hisstay in El Salvador, Trac, who is also deputy head of the Central SteeringCommittee on Anti-Corruption, met with El Salvador President Salvador SanchezCeren and Secretary General of the FMLN Medardo Gonzalez.
He alsoheld talks with Deputy Secretary General of the FMLN Norma Guevara, and hadworking sessions with President of the Export and Investment Promotion AgencySigfrido Reyes; Secretary for Citizen Participation, Transparency, and Anti-corruptionMarcos Rodriguez; and Minister of Justice and Public Security Mauricio Ramirez.
At thesemeetings, Trac briefed the El Salvador leaders on Vietnam’s situation and the outcomesof the implementation of the resolution adopted at the 12th National PartyCongress, especially in Party building and anti-corruption.
The Party,State, and people of Vietnam highly value the solidarity and friendship of ElSalvador towards Vietnam during the country’s past struggle for nationalliberation as well as the present-day national construction, he stressed.
President SalvadorSanchez Ceren and leaders of the FMLN party expressed their sincere sentimentstowards Vietnam, as well as their admiration for late President Ho Chi Minh,the country’s efforts in national construction and defence, and significantreform achievements initiated and led by the CPV.
Theyinformed their guests of the results El Salvador has gained in nationaldevelopment, particularly in the sectors of agriculture, education, healthcare,crime combat, and the protection of national security and safety.
Theleaders thanked the Vietnamese Party, State, and people for their valuable supportto El Salvador, and noted their wish to deepen the traditional relations,focusing on delegation exchange and experience sharing in party-building, and stateand socio-economic management.
They alsoproposed specific measures to further advance bilateral cooperation in economy,trade, and investment.
While inEl Salvador, the Vietnamese delegation paid floral tributes to the late leadersof the FMLN party, Farabundo Marti and Schafik Handal, and visited severalchapters of the party and historical and cultural relic sites across thecountry.
On thisoccasion, Vietnamese Ambassador to Mexico and El Salvador Nguyen Hoai Duongpresented his credentials to President Salvador Sanchez Ceren.-VNA
